Growth Charts Element

Kalix's documents have growth charts that auto graph weight-for-age, head circumference, height-for-age, weight-for-length & BMI-for-age.

Updated over a week ago

Using Growth Charts

Kalix's growth charts are integrated into Kalix's document and templates feature. Kalix automatically carries over weight, height, and BMI measurements from your previous documents to graph measurements over time.

Step 1 -Setting up the Client

The child must be set up in Kalix as a client. To plot the growth charts, save the client's sex and date of birth against the General Details section of their Details page.

When a client is less than two years old, you have the capacity to enter their due date along with their date of birth. Doing this allows Kalix to calculate and use an adjusted age (for prematurity) in grow chart calculations.

Step 2 - Create a New Client Document

Create a new document for this client. Click on the purple search icon on the far left. Use the search field to find the client by name. Once the client is selected, click on New Document.

The New Document screen will appear. Choose the type of document you wish to create. The document type should contain the Growth Charts Element.

Step 3 - Entering Data

Create the document as per usual.

Make sure the document's date is the same date as the measurements were taken (for the calculated age).

Enter head circumference, weight, height, and BMI (if applicable) values into the appropriate auto-calculation elements.

The growth chart elements will auto-plot with all previously saved measurements and the new data points.
