Assigning a Messaging Method Against the Client's or Contacts Details Page

Kalix automatically assigns a new client or contact with your default messaging method. You are able to change this to another method.

Updated over a week ago

After creating a new client or contact, Kalix will automatically assign them with your default messaging method. This default method was chosen by you when you set-up Messaging in your Kalix account.

For an individual client or contact, Kalix allows you to change the messaging method from the default to another method. For instructions on how to do this please see below.

Important: before a messaging method can be assigned to a client or contact, you need to enable Messaging in Kalix.

  • Open the client's file.

  • Click on the section Details to view and edit the details page.

  • On the details page, under General Details, select Edit.

Make sure the client has a messaging method selected in the messaging method field.

Note: Kalix automatically assigns new clients your default Messaging Method (assigned on the Messaging Settings page). You can change the client's messaging method here.

Important: If you do not see a Messaging Method field here, it is because you have not enabled Messaging yet. Please complete this step before continuing.
