The Kalix Client App helps clients stay connected with their healthcare providers who use Kalix as their electronic medical record (EMR).
Use the app to:
View upcoming and past appointments
Confirm, reschedule & cancel appointments (if enabled by your provider)
Complete intake forms, agreements, and questionnaires
View documents, goal summaries, and handouts shared by your provider
View invoices and receipts (if enabled by your provider)
Who is This App For?
Kalix Client App is designed for clients/patients of private practices that use Kalix. If your clinic hasn't invited you or enabled client access, you may not be able to sign in.
Request Deletion of your Data
Kalix Client App connects you to your healthcare provider’s Kalix account. Your provider controls your record and can request the deletion of your data.
Step 1: Contact your healthcare provider
Please contact your healthcare provider and ask them to request the deletion of your Kalix Client data.
Step 2: Your provider submits the request
Your healthcare provider will submit the deletion request to Kalix on your behalf.
What gets deleted vs kept
Because the provider owns the underlying healthcare record, deletion outcomes depend on what they’re permitted/required to retain.
Typically deleted (when your provider requests deletion)
Your Kalix Client portal/app access
Authentication credentials associated with your portal access (including passkey associations where applicable)
May be retained by your healthcare provider (records they control)
Depending on provider policy and legal requirements, they may retain:
Appointments
Forms and agreements
Documents/files
Invoices, receipts, payments, and billing history (if applicable)
Retention Periods
Retention is typically controlled by your healthcare provider’s policies and legal/regulatory requirements. Kalix may also retain limited operational/security logs and backups for a defined period.
Passkeys
Creating an account requires a passkey
To create a Kalix Client account, you must set up a passkey on your device/s. Kalix Client does not support creating an account with a password or any other method.
What are passkeys?
Passkeys are a secure way to sign in without passwords. Instead of typing a password, you approve sign-in using your device’s built-in security, such as:
Face ID / fingerprint
Device PIN / pattern / screen lock
Passkeys are designed to protect you from common attacks like phishing (fake login pages) and password reuse.
Where passkeys are stored:
Your passkey is stored in your device’s secure credential system (for example, your phone’s credential manager / password manager). In the Kalix Client app, you’ll see a display name for the passkey (a label like “My iPhone Passkey”)—this is just to help you recognize it.
Create an account (Passkey required)
Kalix Client accounts are created using passkeys (no passwords). To create an account, you’ll need:
An Invite Code from your healthcare provider
A device with a screen lock enabled (Face ID / fingerprint / PIN)
Step-by-step: Create Account with Passkey
Open Kalix Client.
On the Create Account screen, enter your Invite Code.
This code is provided by your healthcare provider.
Tip: Copy/paste to avoid typos.
Enter a Display Name.
This is a label for your passkey (examples: “My iPhone Passkey”, “Work tablet”).
You can rename this later in Settings → Passkeys.
Tap Create Account with Passkey.
When your device prompts you, confirm using Face ID / fingerprint or your device PIN.
Your passkey is created, and your Kalix Client account is set up.
If your invite code doesn’t work
Invite codes can expire or be invalid. If you see an error, contact your healthcare provider/clinic and ask them to send a new invite code.
If you don’t see a passkey prompt
This usually means your device security isn’t fully enabled. Check that:
You have a screen lock turned on (PIN/pattern/password)
Biometrics (Face ID/fingerprint) are set up if you want to use them
Your device OS is up to date
Manage passkeys (add, rename, remove)
You can manage your passkeys inside the app.
Open Kalix Client
Tap the Settings icon (top-right of the page)
Open Passkeys
On the Passkeys screen, you’ll see:
A list of passkeys with the created date
✏️ Pencil icon to rename a passkey
🗑️ Trash icon to remove a passkey
➕ + button (bottom-right) to add a passkey
Add a passkey
Adding a second passkey is recommended so you don’t lose access if you change devices.
Go to Settings → Passkeys
Tap the ➕ + button (bottom-right)
Confirm the system prompt using Face ID/fingerprint/PIN
Your new passkey will appear in the list
Tip: Many users keep two passkeys (example: phone +computer) as a backup.
Rename (edit) a passkey
Renaming only changes the label shown in the app.
Go to Settings → Passkeys
Find the passkey you want to rename
Tap the ✏️ pencil icon
Enter a new name (example: “New Android phone”)
Save/confirm
✅ Renaming is safe and doesn’t affect your account access.
Remove a passkey (important warning)
Removing a passkey can prevent you from signing in again—especially if it’s your only passkey.
Go to Settings → Passkeys
Tap the 🗑️ trash icon next to the passkey you want to remove
Confirm removal
Important: Because passkeys are required to create a Kalix Client account, removing your last passkey may prevent you from signing in again until a new passkey is created.
