How does Kalix’s subscription model work?

Kalix's subscription model focuses on practice volume rather than the number of staff. We aim to provide fair pricing to everyone, especially practices with casual, contract, and part-time staff.

One Kalix subscription is equal to one full-time equivalent practitioner. We define one full-time equivalent practitioner as 25 hours of client appointments a week.

If your practice sees an average of 25 hours of clients a week, you require one subscription to Kalix. For example:

  • 0 - 25 hours a week equals 1 subscription
  • 26 - 50 hours a week equals 2 subscriptions
  • 81 - 120 hours a week equals 3 subscriptions

Do meetings, events, and non-client related appointments count towards my appointment total?

Definitely not. We only consider client appointments. You can schedule an unlimited number of non-client related appointments.

Can part-time users share Kalix accounts?

Yes, as part of your Kalix subscription, we offer unlimited users, unlimited locations, and unlimited data storage.

What payment plans do you have?

We offer either monthly or annual plans. Choose an annual plan to receive big savings.

Can I import my data into Kalix?

Yes, contact us, and we are happy to import your data for no extra charge.

How do I pay?

Navigate to Kalix's Subscription page. After entering the coupon code, please choose your subscription number, package, payment plan, and enter your billing information into our highly secure payment gateway.

  • Pay Monthly, and you will be charged on the same date each month.
  • Pay Annually in advance for the entire year for extra savings. Your subscription will be automatically renewed after the 12 months are up.

Cancel at any time, and you will not be charged again.

The first payment is not due until your trial period has ended. To find out the date of your next payment, check the Kalix Subscription screen.

What payment types are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB cards over our secure PCI-DSS compliant online payment gateway.

Is there a minimum contract term?

No! We think you should stick around because you love Kalix, not because we have locked you into a contract.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription any time, and we won’t charge you again (plus no cancellation fee).

To cancel, select the Cancel Subscription button on Kalix's Subscription page. Requests to cancel by email or phone are not considered and do not accomplish cancellation.

Can I get a refund on my subscription?

No, Kalix subscriptions are non-refundable and non-transferable. It is up to you to evaluate the fit of the product during the trial period.

Are there any other costs to use Kalix?

If you choose to use Kalix to send and receive SMS (text messages), text-to-voice messages (computer-generated voice messages), and faxes, prepaid credit must be purchased before messages can be sent. Click here for pricing. Email messages are free.

We also offer you the ability to purchase your own unique fax, SMS, and text-to-voice number. Alternatively, port your existing number to Kalix (United States only).
