Text-to-voice automatically turns written text into voice messages, allowing you to send messages to landline phones as well as cell phones.
Kalix allows for automatic appointment confirmation and/or cancellation via text-to-voice . The status of the scheduled appointment is automatically updated based on the client's response.
If the appointment is confirmed the appointment slot will change color to a lavender purple with white writing. If the appointment is canceled ,the appointment slot will change to orange with white writing.

Client responses are included as menu options at the end of the message, clients make their choice by entering the corresponding number on the phone keypad. You can choose which client responses are included in your message by selecting the applicable tick boxes under Client Responses (as shown below) on the Appointment Reminder message template. Available Client responses include:
Confirm Appointment: the appointment status of the specific appointment will be updated to confirmed.
Cancel Appointment: the appointment status of the specific appointment will be updated to cancelled. Click here for further information about appointment status.
Connect to Phone Number: the text-to-voice phone call will connect to your phone number. Enter the number that you wish the text-to-voice message to connect to into the Return Number field as shown below.
End Phone Call: will cause the text-to-voice message to end.
Repeat Message: will repeat the text-to-voice message.
If the text-to-voice phone call is missed, Kalix will leave a message containing a phone number to call back on. The receiver can call back at their convenience and listen to the entire missed message. The client will still be able to choose menu options as per normal. The call price is free for the client, it's cost will be deducted from your messaging credit.
Resend Failed Message
If an appointment reminder fails to send, you will receive an email notification. You will also see an error icon the the actual appointment slot.
To resend, click on Resend Appointment Reminder button on the Messaging Section of the Appointment Details page for the related appointment.
Before retrying the message, check to see the client’s phone number is entered correctly against their Details Page.
When a client has responded, the notification icon will appear on the menu bar (to the right of the Kalix logo) as shown below. Click on the icon to view the message. You will also receive an email notification.
To check a reminder has been sent for a particular appointment, simply look at the appointment block. An envelope icon is shown on the top left of the block if a reminder was sent.
The record of all messages sent to and from your account can be viewed under the Messaging section, subsection History. Other information including message status and cost can also be viewed here.
The record of all messages sent to a particular client can also be viewed against the messaging section of the client's file.
