Kalix allows you to add small logos and images to documents and templates (via custom terms and free text fields) and email reminders (appointment reminders and billing and late payment reminders).

This is functionality is supported by the text field editor used in Kalix. We have three suggested methods for implementing this.

Method 1 - Copy Logo From Your Website

If you have your logo available on a public website e.g. your practice's website, you can easily copy the image directly into a free text field, custom term or email reminder.
Note: the image size will be the same as used by the website.

1) Open the website and locate the image or logo.

2) Right click on the image as shown below and select Copy Image.

3) Open the document or template you are adding the image to or the applicable email reminder message template. If you are adding the image to a doc template, edit the applicable custom term (or create a new custom term) or add a free text field. Please click here to find out how to add terms to documents and templates.

4)
In the text field e.g. term output for custom terms and the email message field for reminders, place your cursor where you would like the image added. Press the "Control" key + V on your keyboard (Command key + V on a Mac) to paste the image.

Method 2 - Image Link From Your Website

If you have your logo available on a public website e.g. your practice's website, you can copy the image link into the HTML of a free text field, custom term or email reminder. This method supports re-sizing the image, however, you are required use a bit of HTML code.

1) Open the website and locate the image or logo.

2) Right click on the image as shown below and select Copy image address.

3) Open the document or template you are adding the image to (or the applicable email reminder message template). If you are adding the image to a doc template, edit the applicable custom term (or create a new custom term) or add a free text field. Please click here to find out how to add terms to documents and templates.

4) In the text field, e.g. term output for custom terms and the email message field for reminders, click on the < > icon as shown below.

5) This will open up the HTML for the text field

6) Now it is time to prepare the HTML you need to add. The basic "framework" of the code is below:

<div style="text-align: center"><img src="web address" style="height: 100px"> </div

Use the code as shown exactly above, just where it says web address cut and paste the image address you copied in step 3.

e.g.  <div style="text-align: center"><img src="https://idntpublic.blob.core.windows.net:443/content/kalix_rgb_h.png" style="width: 100px"> </div

Note: you can also modify the image size. In the code as shown below, there is information that defines the image size (width). We chose to size the image to 300px (pixels). You can modify this, just change 300 to the desired pixel size. We recommend 150 - 300px. Please remember, large images take a long time to load.

7) Now copy and paste this code into the editor, as shown below.

8) Click on the < > icon again to close the HTML editor.

9) Done!

Method 3 - Send Your Logo to Us

If you do not have your logo available on a public website, you are welcome to send it to us. We will host it on Kalix's blob storage. We will then send you the code to add to the text field's HTML as described in Method 2.

We recommend that the image file has a transparent background if possible- a PNG file is best (GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and JPEG are ok also).
