How to set up your client file to auto add ICD-10 Diagnosis Coded to Bills.

Updated over a week ago

Kalix will automatically add your client's Diagnoses Codes (ICD-10) to bills via Referrals. Even if the client does not have a referring provider, you can still create a referral. A referral does not require a referral source.

Click on the following links for info on how to set up your account for billing and our suggested billing workflow:

Creating a Referral

For step by step instructions about creating a referral click here for details.

Linking a Referral to an Appointment

Next, you may wish to link the referral to the appointment you are billing for. By doing this, Kalix will auto add the appointment and referral specific info into your bill.

A referral can be linked to an appointment on the New/Edit Appointment screen and the Appointment Details page. If there is a current active referral for a specific client, Kalix will automatically link this referral to the client's appointment (via the New Appointment)

Linking a Referral to a Bill

When creating a new bill in Kalix, you are able to link it up to a specific appointment (as shown below).

Kalix will then automatically link the referral to the bill.

Alternatively, if you are not billing for an appointment or do not use Kalix's Appointments feature, you can manually link up a referral to a bill as shown below:
